Course Aims
The aim of the Slinger/Signaller Course is to provide candidates with the basic knowledge and practical skills involved in slinging loads and guiding cranes to the NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) standard.
Course Content
- An Introduction to the Construction Industry
- Current relevant regulations
- Code of signals
- How to calculate safe working loads
- Effects of varying the angles of multileg slings
- Hazards associated with crane operation and how to avoid them
- NPORS assessment, which includes Theory & Practical elements.
Test
To achieve the Red NPORS Trained Operator Card candidates must pass the NPORS Theory Test and the Practical Test.
