Course Aims
The aim of the Industrial Counterbalance Lift Truck course is to provide candidates with the basic knowledge and practical skills involved in operating a Industrial Counterbalance to the NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) standard.

- An Introduction to the Construction Industry
- Current relevant regulations
- Introduction to machine
- Pre – shift inspections
- Controls and instruments - re-fuelling systems, components and main types
- Coolant, fuel and lubrication systems
- Emergency controls
- Driving on / off ramps
- Operators safety code
- Handling loaded / unloaded pallets and difficult shaped loads
Assessment
To achieve the Red NPORS Trained Operator Card candidates must pass the NPORS Theory Test and the Practical Test.
