Sibbald Training Team Takes on the Great Scottish Run 2024!
Sibbald Training Team Takes on the Great Scottish Run 2024!
This year, the Sibbald Training team took on an exciting challenge by participating in the Great Scottish Run held in Glasgow. Our team laced up their running shoes and successfully completed the half marathon and 10k distances, pushing their limits and making us proud.
But it wasn’t just about crossing the finish line — it was about making a difference. We are thrilled to announce that, through their hard work and dedication, the Sibbald team raised over £800 for the Lighthouse Club, the construction industry charity.
Why the Lighthouse Club?
The Lighthouse Club offers crucial support services to construction workers and their families, providing emotional, physical, and financial help when they need it most. This charity does amazing work, ensuring no construction worker feels alone, particularly when facing health issues, mental health challenges, or hardship.
The Race Day Experience
The atmosphere on race day was electric! The streets of Glasgow were lined with cheering crowds. Our staff trained for weeks to take on this challenge, with some tackling their first-ever half marathon and others smashing personal bests in the 10k. It was a test of endurance, teamwork, and determination — qualities we value highly at Sibbald Training.
Thank You for Your Support!
We couldn’t have done it without the amazing support from friends, family, colleagues, and all of those who donated. The funds raised will go directly to the Lighthouse Club, supporting their mission of providing life-changing assistance to those in need within the construction industry.
We are immensely proud of the Sibbald Training team for not only taking part in the Great Scottish Run but also for championing a cause that is so close to our hearts.
Thank you to everyone who contributed, cheered us on, and helped make this event a huge success.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to support great causes and take on new challenges as a team!
