This signing, lighting and guarding course is designed for supervisors who must monitor the setup of temporary traffic management, including portable traffic lights, signs, barriers and cones on the roads and highways. This one-day option is aimed at experienced candidates and is an assessment only programme.

Course Aims
To assess experienced Supervisors on their skills and knowledge to carry out monitoring of Signing, Lighting and Guarding of the worksite in-line with the current NRSW Act to safeguard themselves and others.
Course Content
• Basic principles of signing, lighting and guarding
• Traffic control measures
• Practical use of the Code of Practice
• Temporary traffic management
• Monitoring practical use of equipment
Qualifications Obtained
Upon completion candidates will receive the relevant SWQR card (valid for 5 years).
Entry Requirements
The minimum entry requirement is a good understanding of spoken and written English. Only those with experience should attend, this is an assessment only course.
