Course Aims
This one day training course provides delegates with a broad insight to the topic of Temporary Works, including an understanding of the essentials of good safety risk management.
This course is designed to provide training for those involved in the temporary works process but who are not undertaking the role of Temporary Works Co-ordinator or Supervisor as defined in BS5975:2019. The course assumes limited or no detailed previous knowledge of temporary works.
Course Content
- Background, legislation and relevant standards
- Roles, responsibilities, competencies and training
- When do temporary works need to be designed, and who is competent to carry out designs and design checking
- Designers’ risk assessments and residual risks
- Tutorial to identify temporary works and classify risk
- Update on latest industry guidance and sources of further information
- Specific examples of the use and management of temporary works relating to target audience
Qualifications Obtained
Issue of the related TWGATC construction Skills Certificate (valid 5 years) will be awarded to those persons who successfully complete the TWGATC course.Entry Requirements
