Course Aims
To allow delegates to recognise hazards, utilise control measures and safe working practices and maintain a safe working environment, concentrating on risks specifically found with working on a Petrol Filling Station.
Core Day Exemption
If you’ve previously attended an SPA approved Health & Safety course, you can apply for the DAY 1 exemption.
At present the SPA passport scheme recognises that delegates who have completed and passed the following training courses and have 3 months* or more remaining on their evidence of exemption do not need to attend the SPA passport scheme Core training day (Day 1):
- IOSH Working Safely
- CCNSG Passport to Safety
- IOSH Managing Safely
- IOSH Supervising Safely
- NEBOSH Certificate
- CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
- FÁS Safe Pass
- ADT H&S module
- NEBOSH Diploma
- CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
- CITB - Site Safety for Shopfitters and Interior Contractors
*For those without an expiry date they must have been obtained within the last 3 years.
If you qualify for Core Day Exemption, you only need to attend (DAY 2 - Petrol Retail). You must provide evidence of exemption (i.e. copy course certificate) prior to booking or attending the course.
