Delegates working in quarry sites, from labourers to project managers. Must have completed full course and hold current card which requires renewal. You must bring your current card along with you on the training course.

Course Aims

The Quarry Passport renewal course is designed for delegates to achieve an acceptable level of Health and Safety knowledge whilst working in a Quarry area.

Course Content

The MPQC Quarry Passport/R course content includes a refresher on the following 11 modules:

Module 1 – Introduction to Health and Safety Law and Safe Systems of Work
Module 2 – Workplace Safety
Module 3 – Fire Precautions and Procedures
Module 4 – Accident and First Aid Procedures
Module 5 – Hazardous Substances
Module 6 – Manual Handling
Module 7 – Noise at Work
Module 8 – Health and Safety Management Relating to Quarry Operations
Module 9 – Working with Cranes and Heavy Equipment
Module 10 – Safe Working – Excavations and Confined Spaces
Module 11 – Working at Height
 

Qualifications Obtained

Upon successful completion, candidates will receive a 'Core & Mineral Products' Quarry Passport, valid for 3 years.

Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirement is a good understanding of spoken and written English.

You must already have attended the original MPQC Quarry Passport 2 day course and hold a current MPQC/SPA card ready for renewal.
