Course Aims
By the end of this course, participants will be able to use CAD software to assist in planning lifting operations safely and efficiently.
Course Content
- Open and navigate AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software
- Work effectively within Modelspace and Paperspace environments
- Use basic drawing and modification commands
- Configure drafting settings and manage layers, blocks, and drawing standards
- Produce accurate lift plans representative of site conditions and crane dimensions
- Apply correct drawing terminology and maintain drawing registers
Qualifications Obtained
Upon successful completion of this course, candidate will receive an Inhouse Sibbald certificate, valid for 3 years.Entry Requirements
Pre-requisite: Appointed Person qualification (any accreditation – CPCS, NPORS, or in-house acceptable with base knowledge).Basic IT skills required (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Candidates must bring their own fully functional laptop with a mouse (with scroll wheel) and keyboard.
Candidates are responsible for managing any firewall or IT restrictions preventing software download.
