Course Aims

The CITB Health, safety and environment (HS&E) test is an important way for construction workers to show that they can be safe on the job. It's also a way for them to know that their fellow workers are as safe on the site and not put them at risk of injury.

For employers, having workers who've passed the CITB HS&E test is assurance that their workforce are and can continue to be safe at work.

Taken as a computer based test. Everyone applying for a CSCS card must pass the appropriate health, safety and environment test.

The type of test you need to pass will depend on the job you do and the type of card you are applying for. Use the cardfinder to find out more.

When applying for the test it will be a mandatory requirement once the booking is completed to add the candidates details (salutation, full name, date of birth, national insurance number & home address) along with the specific type of test required.
