CITB Health Safety & Environmental Test
Course Aims
The CITB Health, safety and environment (HS&E) test is an important way for construction workers to show that they can be safe on the job. It's also a way for them to know that their fellow workers are as safe on the site and not put them at risk of injury.
For employers, having workers who've passed the CITB HS&E test is assurance that their workforce are and can continue to be safe at work.
Taken as a computer based test. Everyone applying for a CSCS card must pass the appropriate health, safety and environment test.The type of test you need to pass will depend on the job you do and the type of card you are applying for. Use the cardfinder to find out more.
When applying for the test it will be a mandatory requirement once the booking is completed to add the candidates details (salutation, full name, date of birth, national insurance number & home address) along with the specific type of test required.
Who Attends
Any person applying for a CSCS, CPCS or the NPORS CSCS cards
Course Content
The HS&E test is made up of 50 questions covering five core knowledge areas:
- legal and management
- health and welfare
- general safety
- high risk activities
- environment
Candidates have 45 minutes to answer the 50 questions. The test now includes new question styles. Behavioural case studies are also used in the test to check a candidate's understanding of health, safety and environmental issues, and how to behave safely on-site. This is an assessment qualification taken online using a PC at our training facility.
Revision Materials
A range of materials is available to help you revise and practice for the CITB Health, safety and environment Test. They are available from most high street and online booksellers. **Mandatory** - all candidate details must be provided 48 hours prior to test start date for notification purposes, i.e. Name, Date of Birth, NI number, Home address and level of test required.
Course Duration
This is a 45 minute test.
Maximum Candidates
Maximum attendees: 7 candidates.
Additional Information
Please note the total cost of this test includes the £22.50 CITB test fee and an administration fee however does not include the card fee. Sibbald Ltd do not apply for any cards upon completion of candidate's test.
