Another First for Sibbald
Sibbald Limited is the first professional training provider in Scotland to obtain triple UKAS Accredited Certification for their Integrated Management System (IMS)
BS EN ISO 9001:2015, BS EN ISO 14001:2015 & BS OHAS 18001:2007.
After enduring an eight-day certification audit early in April 2016, Sibbald Limited have achieved triple management system certification awarded by NQA and accredited by UKAS. These international standards provide businesses with a comprehensive framework for quality, health, safety and environmental management. Both the BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and BS EN ISO 14001:2015 standards were issued only in late September 2015 and share the same framework in the newly created index listings ANNEX SL.
These international standards have changed dramatically from their predecessors and therefore have required Sibbald Limited to evolve their business practices accordingly. Creating a more transparent organisation with a progressive culture of leadership, risk-based thinking, operational rigour and engagement of people whilst forming explicit commitments to continuous business improvements.
David Sibbald, Managing Director of Sibbald Limited said: “We are really proud to have achieved certification to these new international management standards so quickly. I thank each and every employee for their fantastic efforts’’.
John Sibbald, General Manager of Sibbald Limited said: ‘’As a company we have introduced a lot of changes to accommodate the risk-based business ethos demanded by these standards. This approach to management has and will continue to serve us well, achieving certification to such standards is fundamental to our strategic business plans’’.
John McGlinchey, Strategic Development Manager at Sibbald Limited said: ‘’Being the first professional training provider to obtain this triple management system certification proves to our stakeholders that as a service provider we are willing and able to go the extra mile’’.
Matt Gantley, Managing Director of NQA concluded: “There are very few organisations to transition to both ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 so soon after publication, and particularly alongside OHSAS 18001. This is a fantastic achievement for Sibbald Limited; it demonstrates real leadership in their field of expertise and commitment to improving performance in quality, environment and health & safety management. Congratulations from all at NQA”.
