Energy Management Policy

Sibbald Ltd undertakes a commitment to make efficient use of energy at its Sibbald Park facilities and during activities conducted on the site, with the purpose of preserving natural resources, reducing atmospheric emissions and helping to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Management will lead and promote energy efficiency programmes, ensuring that works are conducted in accordance with the principles established in this policy. Clear objectives and targets will be established in order to improve energy performance and reduce the relevant greenhouse gas emissions. In order to successfully achieve the set objectives Management will ensure the availability of the necessary information and resources required.

Sibbald Ltd will set an energy usage baseline and continuously improve the use of energy resources at its facilities by introducing new technology and design to the business processes and facilities, where possible the purchase of energy-efficient products and services will be prioritised.

Sibbald Ltd will ensure compliance with legal requirements and other requirements to which the organisation subscribes related to energy performance, including energy efficiency and the use and consumption of energy. The company will also encourage the adaptation of its operations and facilities to ensure compliance with any changes that may be made to the legal framework in force, and will establish common standards for the management of energy efficiency within the boundaries of the area of operations.

In order to promote greater awareness among all stakeholders, Sibbald Ltd when requested will provide them with reliable and transparent information regarding its energy consumption, its corresponding greenhouse gas emissions and the improvement actions undertaken.

Sibbald Ltd considers that ‘complying and ensuring compliance’ with this policy is the responsibility of all individuals who take part in its activities.
