The aim of the Signing Lighting and Guarding (Operative) Course is to provide the candidates with a knowledge and understanding of the legal requirements to enable them to follow the procedures for setting out Signing and Guarding of an Excavation on the Highway.

All candidates will be trained and tested by one of Sibbald's fully accredited, expert instructors.

Training and assessments can take place either at our purpose built training facility in Blackridge, West Lothian or on your site.

The duration of the course is 1 day . On successful completion of the course canidates will be issued with a Scottish Qualifications Authority ( SQA ) Certificate  -   Unit 2 Signing, Lighting and Guarding.

It is our recommendation that all personnel who are engaged in road works attend this course.
