SIBBALD ANNIVERSARY AND CYCLE RACE RAISES FUNDS FOR US

10 Dec 2013

Sibbald Training and Cappers Plant Hire held a 40th anniversary for their business on the evening of the 7th September 2013. Over two hundred and twenty guests were treated to some excellent Scottish cuisine and refreshments along with receiving some truly quality entertainment. The Scottish cuisine was organised and put together on the night by Sibbald’s very own chef Philippe, affectionately known as the “Tartan Frog”. The entertainment included a fabulous performance by the Singing Waiters of Scotland known as SOS, Secret Opera Singers.  This was very well received and a massive hit with all those that attended. Further entertainment included a live auction and raffle with all proceeds going to The Lighthouse Club. David Sibbald Managing Director for Sibbald said, “It was very emotional night for both my family and I. The whole evening was truly fabulous from the opera singing, having a drink and dance with some of my friends and colleagues as well as raising so much money for the Lighthouse Club. It was truly a wonderful evening with some great memories I shall cherish for a long time”.

The very next day Andy Morrell Sales and Marketing Manager for Sibbald Training competed in the Pedal for Scotland, Glasgow to Edinburgh cycle race, also in the aid of charity for the Lighthouse Club. His 47mile cycle took him 3 hours and 45minutes, which was well under the time he wanted to achieve. Andy said, “Being part of the whole Sibbald anniversary the evening before truly inspired me. I was moved to see the generosity and people digging deep in their pockets for an awesome cause. The cycle race itself was a great experience and I was delighted with both my time on the day as well as the total I reached from all the kind folk who sponsored me”.

To raise just over £5000.00 for both events is truly fantastic and a great result for all of Sibbald to be very proud of.  Well done Sibbald, Cappers and Andy!
