Calling All Employers - Funded Training & Recruitment
Do you need help with recruiting general operatives? Then let Sibbald's Special Projects Department help you! We have funding to help Employers train and recruit new employees.
These programmes are based on a programme piloted by Scottish Enterprise in 2006. Details of this follow:
- Skills Development Scotland allocates funding for the training.
- Employers must commit to employing one or more candidates (maximum 8 per course).
- Employers along with Sibbald Ltd devise a suitable training programme to give the successful candidate the basic working knowledge that they and the employer might need within the funding made available by Skills Development Scotland.
- Employers provide a person specification for the job they are providing. Sibbald will brief Jobcentre Plus Vacancy Service Managers on the person spec to enable suitable candidate selection.
- Sibbald staff and the Employers' interview suitable candidates at the Sibbald Training Centre in West Lothian (maximum 24 applicants per selection day).
- Successful candidates embark onthe Training programme. Weekly reports on candidate progress can be provided.
- On successful completion of the Training Programme candidates commence employment with the Employer involved in selection.
Enterprise Companies who use this successful model are Lanarkshire, Tayside and Edinburgh & Lothians.
Content and duration of the programmes are dependant on the funding from Skills Development Scotland.
