Pedestrian Operated Lift Trucks

The Aim of the Pedestrian Operated Lift Trucks Course is to:

Provide the candidate with the basic knowledge and practical skills involved in operating the Pedestrian Operated Lift Truck.

Course Duration

3 or 5 days depending on the experience of the candidate, the number of candidates and the ratio of candidates / machines per Instructor.

The Objectives of the Course are to enable delegates to:

  • Be able to operate the machine safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and accepted good practice.
  • Carry out a pre-shift inspection.
  • Be able to load and unload static racking.
  • Understand the causes of instability of the truck and loads.
  • Have an understanding of responsibilities under Health and Safety at Work Act 1974  & other current relevant legislation.
