- Interpretation of utility maps
- Symbols used by utility companies on maps
- Transferring of information
- Review of HSG 47 - Avoiding danger from Underground Services
- Common types of underground apparatus
- Support of apparatus in open excavations
- Use of cable and pipe locaters
