The Aim of the 1 Day - Entry To Confined Spaces Course is to:
Give training and practical assessment for those persons who implement and work to safe working procedures and permits for confined space entry.

The Objectives of the Course are to enable delegates to:
- Work safely in confined spaces and associated hazards and risks.
- Implement control measures to eliminate or reduce potential risks.
- Inspect and use personal protective equipment and site safety equipment.

Who Do We Recommend Attends The Course?
All personnel who are directly involved in the execution of work in confined spaces such as shallow manholes and tanks.
Course Summary
Candidates will participate in theory lessons and practical demonstrations / exercises all, of which are highlighted by the use of OHP & Videos covering;
- Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- Confined Spaces Regulations
- Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations
- Other current relevant regulations
- Confined space hazards and associated risks
- Safe working procedures and entry permits
- Gas detection
- Access equipment, winches and lifelines
- Hygiene procedures
- Accident and emergency procedures
- Practical exercises
Certification
Sibbald Certificate of attendance.
Eligible companies are able to claim grants for this training, which will pay for a substantial amount if not all of the training costs, as this course is CITB approved for grant purposes.
