Sibbald History
David Sibbald started in 1973 as an owner operator with 1 x 180o excavator. Sibbald Plant Hire grew over the next few years hiring out plant to the Construction Industry, the company continued to expand until 1988 when the Training side of the business was created due to the necessatity of training operators for the new CTA Scheme. Since the start of the training division in 1988 Sibbald Training has offered a wide variety of CITB approved courses for the industry and expanded to include forklift training for the warehouse and distribution industry.
The company continues to grow year on year and is now one of the leading providers of training in the construction sector in the whole of the country, and now also have a training centre in Northern Ireland to mirror image the success we have gained on the UK mainland.
Sibbald can carryout training worldwide which is endorsed by the fact that we have on 2 occasions provided training for the Falkland Islands Government, Companies and Individuals in the Falkland Islands.
We have won 3 National Training Awards in 1993, 1995 and 1998 and we are an Investors in People Company having gained accreditation in 2003.
